Today, let's talk about the amount of molten iron C that is lower than expected.
How to solve it?
Usually, when the temperature of molten iron exceeds the equilibrium temperature,
the reaction SiO2+2C=Si +2CO proceeds to the right,
resulting in the decrease of C and the increase of Si in the molten iron.
So don't forget to add C when making ingredients.
To master the amount of C reduction in our factory,
make up the amount of C. It should also be reminded that
the composition of gray cast iron should be adjusted in the order of Mn first,
then C and then Si.
In fact, in the casting work,
there will be many problems when the induction furnace is working.
