1. Silicon barium inoculant
Silicon barium inoculant is the most commonly used inoculant
in the foundry industry at home and abroad.
The constituent elements are silicon,
calcium, barium, aluminum, etc.
Barium has a good deoxidation effect
and forms stable compounds with oxygen.
Production practice shows that the low-barium silicon-barium inoculant
has much stronger graphitization
and anti-recession ability than 75# ferrosilicon.
The silicon-barium inoculant improves the cutting performance,
and the added amount is only half of that of 75# ferrosilicon.
Evey r10,000 tons of molten iron can save
more than 100,000 yuan in the cost of inoculant,
and the cost of cutting tool wear is even more considerable.
2. Silicon strontium inoculant
Silicon strontium inoculants are mostly used for thin-walled
and uneven thick and thin castings such as piston rings.
The silicon-strontium inoculant contains a sufficient
amount of silicon and has a strong inoculation effect.
Less than 2% of strontium has obvious effects
on gray iron and ductile iron,
such as improving the shape of graphite,
improving the uniformity of the section,
and prolonging the inoculation and recession.
It is generally believed that as the number of eutectic clusters increases,
the shrinkage tendency of cast iron increases,
the number of eutectic clusters decreases,
and the amount of white mouth increases.
Strong ability to eliminate white mouth,
which is beneficial to reduce shrinkage of castings.
3. Silicon zirconium inoculant
Silicon-zirconium inoculants, as silicon-based inoculants,
have also made great progress in recent years.
The cross-section uniformity is good,
and the difference in surface hardness
between thickness and thickness is small.
Another important element, zirconium,
can inhibit breeding decline.
In the double smelting of cupola and electric furnace,
the molten iron is in contact with the atmosphere for a long time,
the number of crystal nuclei decreases
after the heating of the electric furnace,
